Last week was great, a real breather. Thank goodness for midweek internationals. Because the pressure of being a Premiership manager is unrelenting. When you work a hour week, as I do, a break like that means you can actually Talal el karkouri wife sexual dysfunction some time with your family.

During the season I usually leave home at 7am on a Monday morning and don't see my wife, Carol, daughter Claire or son Michael properly again until Thursday evening.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are match nights, when I'm looking at players. I'll be in bed after them and up and gone before they wake. It's the day after we beat Yeovil in the FA Cup, and we're in for the first team's warm-down. I also have to do my programme notes for our match with Liverpool at The Valley on Tuesday.

Out at 7am, training as usual before picking the team to play Liverpool. Then with Mervyn Day, my assistant, I talk over with the "Talal el karkouri wife sexual dysfunction" team some of the things that Liverpool are good at, and not so good at. We look at their set plays, who will mark Fernando Morientes and Sami Hyypia, and decide that if Liverpool playwe'll have Danny Murphy as an extra man in midfield because we play Matt Holland will try and nullify Steven Gerrard.

Our tactics work in the first half and we take the lead - but not in the second, and we lose Afterwards I do all the post-match interviews, get caught up in roadworks at the Blackwall Tunnel and don't get home until I stay up until 2am watching the night's goals on Sky. If they're on loan they're obviously available, so in the summer, who knows?

Training, then the week's press interviews. The whole thing takes about 90 minutes.

I pick the team for Newcastle. If players aren't in the team, I always explain why.
